13 & Over - Senior

The Senior training group is the top level of training available with the Makos. Athletes must participate in morning workouts, championship meets, travel meets and training trips. Swimmers in this group strive to be Junior Olympic Champions and qualify and score in meets such as Eastern Zones, Metro Senior Champs, Sectionals and Junior Nationals.

Age: 13-18
*Always subject to the coaches’ discretion*

Average Yardage: 6000-8000 yards

Qualifications:

  • Swimmers are admitted by invitation only
  • Example sets: 20x100 Free on 1:20; 10x200 I.M. on 3:00; 20x50 Kick on :55

Attendance requirements:

  • Must attend minimum 6 practices/week and 2 dryland
  • Approx. one swim meet every month
  • Participation in Metro Championship meets, travel meets, training trips, and all National level meets in which the swimmer or relay qualifies
