This is the group for swimmers ready to take the extra step in commitment and performance. Red Makos focus on technical changes, race strategies, and personal responsibility for success — building strong technique across all strokes, starts, and turns while developing aerobic capacity.

What You'll Need

REQUIREMENTS

Baseline Sets

  • 10×100 Freestyle on 1:40
  • 10×50 Kick on 1:00
  • 5×100 IM on 2:00

Qualifying Standards

  • At least 5 Silver Championship qualifying times
  • Knowledge of pace clock and intervals
  • Comfortable with circle swimming and dryland

Goals

  • Qualify for local and regional championships
  • Race the 400 IM and 200s of each stroke
  • Develop coachability and accountability

Commitment

  • Minimum 3 practices weekly + 1 dryland session
  • One swim meet every other month
  • Participation in championship meets
